Emailing To Podio


This is how you send email to Podio:


You have three options:

Email to a Podio workspace:
- the email becomes a Status entry in the Activity Stream
- click here for instructions

Email to a Podio app:
- the email becomes a new item in the app
- click here for instructions

Create a task by email:
- the email becomes a new task in Podio
- click here for instructions


Emailing to a Podio Workspace


This is how you send email to a Podio workspace:


1.  Go to the Podio workspace.


2.  At the bottom of the screen, click the link called Create a status via email.

>> This will open a form called Choose a service to add email to your address book.


3.  Once you have added the email to your address book, any emails you send to that address will automatically become a Status entry in the Activity Stream of the workspace.

Emailing to a Podio App


This is how you send email to a Podio app:


1.  Go to the Podio app.


2.  On the far right side of your screen, to the right of the app's name, you will see a wrench symbol inside a grey square.  Click the wrench.

>> This will open a list called Modify App.


3.  Click the line called Email to app.

>> This will open a form called Choose a service to add email to your address book.


4.  Once you have added the email to your address book, any emails you send to that address will automatically become part of the list of items inside your app.

Creating a Podio Task From Email


This is how you create a Podio task from email:


You have two options:

Create a workspace task:
- the email becomes a new task for the Podio workspace
- click here for instructions

Create a private task for yourself:
- the email becomes part of your private task list in Podio
- click here for instructions


Creating a Podio Workspace Task From Email


This is how you create a Podio workspace task from email:


1.  Go to the Podio workspace.


2.  On the right-hand area of the screen is a summary of the workspace tasks.  Click the heading of this workspace tasks area.

>> Look just below the Who is here? section.

>> For example, if your workspace is called Sales, you will click the link Sales tasks.

>> This will open the full list of your workspace tasks.


3.  On the right-hand area of the screen, below the Labels area, click the link called Create a task from email.

>> This will open a form called Choose a service to add email to your address book.


4.  Once you have added the email to your address book, any emails you send to that address will automatically become a task on your workspace task list in Podio.

Creating a Private Podio Task From Email


This is how you create a private Podio task from email:


1.  Go to your task list in Podio.


2.  On the right-hand area of the screen, below the Labels, click the link called Create a task from email.

>> This will open a form called Choose a service to add email to your address book.


3.  Once you have added the email to your address book, any emails you send to that address will automatically create a task on your private task list in Podio.

Workspace Settings


This is how you view or edit Workspace Settings:


1.  Expand your list of workspaces (not sure how? click here)


2.  Hold your mouse over the workspace whose settings you want to view or edit.

>> A little wrench symbol will appear just slightly to the right of the workspace's name, still inside the list of workspaces you expanded in Step 1, above.


3.  Click the little wrench.

>> This will pop-out a list of 5 choices, in a little white box.


4.  Click Workspace Settings (the middle choice in the little white box).


>> This will take you to the Workplace Settings page.
